A rich and fragrant body oil made from the fabled argan kernel and accented by the rich floral notes of neroli and jasmine. This body oil was formulated exclusively for S+O and Atelier Doré in a limited run of two hundred two fluid ounce bottles.
These mochilas Arhuacan are made from natural sheep wool in three traditional tribal designs taught by mothers to daughters and granddaughters in Northern Colombia. Each mochila is knit-woven by one artisan and purchased directly from their local cooperative for S+O. Objects are handmade by individual artisans and may vary slightly from shown image.
These Buddhist alms bowls were made by hand in the village of Ban Bat located in the old city center of Bangkok. S+O presents two types of artisan crafted bowls representing the bowls commonly used by both sects of Thai Buddhist monks. Forged by hand, the Maha black lacquered bowl is seven inches in diameter at the rim while the Dhammayut stainless steel bowl is nine inches in diameter at the rim. Each bowl is paired with a wooden base for display. Starting at $225.
These cotton peshtemals were woven by father and son, Turgut and Ahmet Efeoğlu, in the town of Buldan for Stories + Objects. This single origin black tea was exclusively harvested and processed on the Dunkeld Estate, four thousand feet above the Castlereagh Reservoir in south central Sri Lanka. The estate specializes in high grown teas, including this Ceylon Broken Orange Pekoe, or B.O.P. for short, and is considered to be one of the most sought after grades of tea available in the world. Handmade in the Mauléon atelier of the recently retired Basque shoemaker Jean-Jacques Houyou, these naturally constructed espartinak, or espadrilles in French, are fashioned from jute, cotton and rubber. This striped canvas design was notably worn by tileworkers, but reached iconic status due to early twentieth century artists and bons vivants who adopted the style.
This Tahitian black pearl pearl necklace features a singular large cultured pearl sourced from the UNESCO biosphere reserve, Fakarava, by a family of pearl farmers using the traditional cultivation techniques introduced to the Tahiti islands in the Sixties. The pearl is strung on a matte black rubber strand for an understated, modern feel.

This Santoku all-purpose culinary knife was created by the Kikuichi Company following long-standing traditional practices of Japanese knife craftsmanship. Using the highest quality grade of blue carbon steel, this knife was meticulously constructed in sixteen steps by the artisans of Sakai and Nara. Silk kimonos are deeply connected to the rich cultural history of Japan. A kimono is typically constructed in nearly twenty steps which include the finest silk cloth as a canvas for the artistic creations that are carefully brush-dyed by masters employing the ancient Yuzen technique. Golden embroidery can also be delicately applied in 24 or 18 carat gold to further heighten the luxurious finish of these wearable works of art.
